We are pleased to announce that Professor Hong-Hu Zhu has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420).
Prof. Zhu is a distinguished scholar in engineering geology and geotechnics at Nanjing University, China, where he serves as Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department and Dean of the Institute of Earth Exploration and Sensing. He received his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has since established himself as a leading researcher in fiber optic monitoring, geohazard stability evaluation, and smart geotechnical sensing technologies.
His outstanding contributions to geo-interface behavior and geohazard monitoring have earned him the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Over the past decade, Prof. Zhu has co-authored 2 books, secured 22 patents, and published more than 150 international journal and conference papers.
In addition to his academic achievements, Prof. Zhu has held visiting and leadership positions at world-renowned institutions, including the University of Cambridge. He also serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals and is an active member of multiple international professional societies in geotechnical engineering and structural health monitoring.
