In the age of deep media integration, both the form and function of digital bulletin boards have changed significantly. Based on the SWOT-PEST model framework, this paper will introduce the micro and macro environments of operation for digital bulletin boards, explain the reasons for the changes in their forms and functions, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses resulting from political, economic, social and technological factors. It lists the chances and problems that need to be addressed, and puts forward some ideas for developing a “new infrastructure” for public cultural communication.
