Abstract

In the process of cultivating diverse high-tech competencies, the traditional silo-based vocational talent-training approach can no longer satisfy the demands of internationalization and globalization, nor can it adapt to the rapidly changing needs of the new era. Drawing on the characteristics and practical application of the industry-education integration model in vocational education, this study proposes three new concepts for building an assessment index. At the same time, it establishes a quality-training evaluation index system for qualified workers. The weight values of first-level and secondary indicators are determined through the hierarchical analysis technique. A vocational education industry-education fusion model is then developed to assess the quality of skilled-personnel training by applying the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation algorithm, and the model is empirically tested. The results show that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation matrix values are 1.968465, 3.363881, 6.713346, 32.58226, and 36.12431, respectively, with a corresponding assessment score of 80.752374. This suggests that the school’s talent cultivation and vocational education programs are of relatively high quality. In response to the problems identified by the assessment, three optimization strategies are proposed for improving skill cultivation and vocational education in colleges and universities.
